Joseph Antoniou Kokkinos

Has graduated from West and East Ham College, attained Middlesex Polytechnic and Practicing Certificate of Institute of Chartered Accountants (England & Wales). Currently, Joseph Kokkinos & Co. one of the Independent Accountancy firms in Cyprus situated centrally in the capital Nicosia and counting more than 12 employees.

Knowledge of English and Greek.

Experience Record:
  • 1977 - 1983 With Rayner, Essex (Chartered Accountants) Senior Auditor and then assistant manager.
    Firm’s clients included small and medium sized Commercial enterprises, and a number of local authorities and public and semi-public utilities.
    For the latter undertook profit (surplus) forecasts analyses. Prepared full sets of accounts, and advised on implications for financial position in face of possible alternative Government policy directives.
  • 1983 - 1984 Senior Auditor for Theo Paris & Co (Chartered Accountants). In charge of the company's staff and assigned by the company to work with a major public utility to which the company was providing consultancy services on Government policy on capital recovery targets.
  • 1984 - 1985 Maurice Charles & Partners (Chartered Accountants) Personal Assistant to the Senior Partner. Assignments widened to cover Tax Law requirements of companies of a wide range of sizes (Direct and Indirect taxation requirements) as well as budgets, financial projections, and full accounts.
  • 1985 - 1988 Partner of Pavlou Poyiadjis (Nicosia) and advisor on financial analysis to Hughes Economic Planning in Cyprus through his own consultancy operation.
  • 1988 - present Started own practice under the name JOSEPH KOKKINOS & CO, Chartered Accountants dealing with implementing computer systems, Auditing, Taxation and other matters relevant to general practice.
    Involved in the study for Cyprus Ports Authority on financial matters and participating in drafting the final report thereon.
  • 1995 - Worked with Louis Berger Jordanou on various Projects of the Sewerage.
  • 2003 - Boards of Limassol and Paphos.
  • 2003 - Acting as a Receiver and Manager for Arab Bank plc Cyprus.
  • 2005 - present involved as a consultant on a variety of renewable energy projects, dealing with such matters as feasibility studies, regulatory and implementation issues.
